Hey guys!

So i'm putting together a escalation campaign/league with a bit of an RPG element to it. To sum the ruleset minimally. Its a warbands type rule set I found online where you start with 500 pts, each game your army grows by a D3x25+50 (+25 if you win) and then your warlord rolls for buffs and stuff.

We have 8-10 people for it, and I was wondering if any of you guys:

1. Have any overall tips for running something like this (my first time, but i was asked to take the initiative on it)

2. How is best to setup games? We have a local store people can play at, but regarding people playing eachother and stuff, my plan was to set out a list like a football season, and then players contact eachother to setup games (1 a week) and thus they can play whenever works for them two that week. Or is there a better way?

I appreciate any tips so much guys!

Thank you

Just be careful with giving the players bonuses for winning games, especially for army size and points! I was in a campaign where that was used, and it ended on campaign turn 2 due to one team having one most of the games and just had so much more points than the other team it wasn't even funny. (Part of the problem was that wiped out units counted as destroyed, and players's army size were reduced in points by the amount of the destroyed unit.)

The amount of points you have should help keep that from becoming too crazy, but just keep it in mind.

Good luck!

Thanks for the warning! Ye for us units never deduct from your army size for dying. I actually agreed on removing the winning bonus, and instead just leaving a bonus to a table you roll on after to decide the buff on your warlord for winning.

Thanks!

More tips please ?
