My 1300 point list (everything I own) is:

Level 3 librarian
Level 3 librarian
5 terminators with hammer and psycannon
5 terminators with hammer and psycannon
5 terminators with hammer and psycannon
Dreadknight with heavy psycannon, heavy incinerator, sword and personal teleporter
Stormraven with lascannon and multi melta

I want to expand this to 1500 points. What would you suggest I add? I limit my games to 1500 points, as I like that scale, so this will be my army completed. I'm thinking of one of the following:

Another Dreadknight - my current one gets a lot of attention and gets killed quick. Having two will help them survive.
An 8 man purifier squad - these guys would hang out in the stormraven, assaulting out with Clensing Flame.
A 5 man terminator squad - just like those above. This would mean I have four squads of them.
An 8 man interceptor squad - my least favourite idea. These guys would be objective grabbers.

What do you reckon? One of these, or something else entirely?

You should always have 2 or more dreadknight if possible. If you wanted a 3rd you could get that by using the imperial agents formation, it give you 1 troop 1 heavy without any tax. How are you running two librarian, a strike force and a cad?

A decked out NDK is 225 so if you dropped one librarian to ML 2 it would be a clean add on since ML 3 is 25 points.

Kaldor Draigo, I use him in 1500 point games from time to time.

You really need another Dreadknight though, possibly up to 3.

Try playing at 1850 pts, it's a great, balanced scale and is what most tournaments use.

You can have two HQ in a nemesis strike force.

I'll go with the second dreadknight, that's what my instinct was telling me too.

I'm sticking with 1500 points, as that's what most of my locals play and anything bigger would take too long to play (I squeeze in a weekly 40k game each Wednesday after work when my girlfriend is at the gym).

Thanks guys!

If I may offer another take on this, as 1500 is also the point level I play at most often... I really do like a second dreadknight and Draigo... however I think that there are some other fun options too.

Draigo + Purifiers = Gate + Cleanising Flame. This unit is really nasty in small games. It generates a TON of warp dice, comes with stock powers, and will be really annoying to deal with for your opponent.

I woudl actually then pair a librarian up with some terminators, and take 2 other dreadknights. If your other libby rolls and gets gate and cleansing flame - fun times! haha.
Hey, every now and then it happens...

I also really think that there are some great allies for GK at this point level... here's some thigns I use a LOT to make up for their low-model count, or to counter things they struggle against..

10th Company Scout Formation
Chapter Tactics - Raptors

You can get 20 rending, 2+ cover, pseudo-sniping bolter dudes with this formation for dirt cheap (right around the cost of a terminator squad) to crack shot things first turn, or hold down the field while your GK arrive or get into position.

I also think that allying in TWO vindicare assassins gives you the long-range support to take out Ghostkheels, sorcerers, other assassins, etc.

Give some of those cheap allies a try (maybe drop the storm raven or terminator squad to test them?) and see what you think. It will allow your GKs to focus on being the hammer then.

Hope that helps!

Since you are already taking a storm raven I would go for a dreadnought with an assault cannon or a multi melta. I like the storm raven with a 10 man purifier and a dreadnought in tow.

It's quite a bomb of death that is really hard to avoid for an opponent.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Just a thought on the stormraven + Dreadnought... I think there's a psycannon dread for GK in the Imperial Armour Volume Two... basically it's just a ven dread but has a psycannon instead of assault cannon.. but the cool thing is that you can make some sort of psychic test I think to mitigate some damage... maybe? Trying to remember it right, I haven't seen it since 6th ed... so maybe it's not even valid anymore lol

Dreadknight, there's no question on that. You need two, the problem with one is the same problem as taking one dreadnought. It gets popped quick. (A dreadnought being added will not mitigate the dreadknight getting popped, as they'll focus the knight, especially when the nought is off table on a flyer). If you go with something else, I'd drop the SR and get another DK anyway.
