Hey everyone, I'm just getting into 40k and the whole painting thing, but I don't find the official Space Wolves scheme very appealing. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What color scheme do you find appealing? Do that.

Perhaps you'd prefer the pre-heresy scheme rather than the bluegrey

For example...

Thank you guys, after doing a little looking around, I have decided that I think that a darker purple would be a cool main colour. I'm not very artistically talented when deciding what colours look good together, so I was wondering if anyone had any good tips or colours to go with purple.

Black and gold would go well with purple. I would go on the darker side of purple. Bright purple just seems a little to heretical.

Learning opportunity. Read up on "color wheels." They are a chart that helps you find complementary colors. Tabletop Minions did a good video on youtube on color wheels too.

I looked around, and thought I would attempt a triad, and I came up with this. Any thoughts on if I could improve it? Please note that the yellow, aside from the eyes, is a proxy for a gold.
