Heya Dakka,

Here's a list I've written for a friendly (yet competitive) 3000pt game using my own chapter, the Siege Lords. They're an Imperial Fists successor, however they are notably lead by a powerful Chief Librarian; I often use Tiggy in my force to represent him, so I'm okay with the different tactics (plus it only affects him and the scouts anyway).

This list represents Strike Force Vengeance, a vanguard assault force comprised of the 1st, 4th, and Scout companies, tasked with breaking sieges.

At first glance it's just a drop pod list with some scouts and too many Sternguard, however there's more to it than that. The main ace up its sleeve is that between the Demi Company, the Pedro-buffed SG, and all their Pods, there are 17 Ob-Sec units - each with stubborn! Now before you pipe up about Pedro being in the Sternhammer, I've cleared it with my opponent - I allow them to use their Raptors in the RG detachment, so it's only fair Also note that due to the Sternhammer detatchment, bolters reroll all misses not just ones - even using special ammo

All that starts on the board are the two suicide scout units (shame they don't have IF tactics, but oh well), the Land Speeder, and the Assault Centurions with Pedro inside the Assault Ram hopefully they can achieve a first turn charge - the Centurions allow Pedro to split fire his Orbital Bombardment (even on the move), and he gives them an extra attack in return. Then Podding in on Turn 1 we have the Devs Centurions with Tiggy, the 3 units of SG (captain with the 8-man, 10-men combat squaded). Combi-meltas unleash on rear and side armour, while plasmas and grav target whatever they can best get their hands on. Turn 2 sees the Talons come in, and the Tac squads come in whenever the dice gods decide it's a good time.

Any tips, comments or queries welcome and encourage, be they fluff or competitive related. Here's the list:
