So I have always loved the idea of Death Watch Kill Teams. And resently I just got my office back. All of my Warhammer stuff has been packed up in the garage for about 2 years minus some ork stuff. I started fooling around with the Imperial Fist from the box set. I wanted to show some. more of the color from the original chapter that the marine came from so I added some more yellow to the armor. I plan on doing the whole squad this way. Now if I can find a way to keep the kiddos out of my paint I might get some done.

I agree, a lot of thin coats is definitely a good way to paint yellow. I use that method myself.

The pic might be upside down if your using an iPhone or iPad. I forget the reasoning, but it has happened with mine before too.

Thanks guys. It's been awhile since I've painted a marine. Having fun so far with the Death Watch.

Here is what I have started so far for Ennox Sorrlock. Liking it so far. Just the foundation painted so far. With a light wash on the face. I really like painting these guys so far just because it's not the same exact colors on every model. I love my orks but painting those over and over again can get annoying.

Some nice work! The multiple coats really worked out on the yellow.

Here is an update on Iron Hand marine.

Not completely done but down to the details. But this is where I am at so far.

Got the base coat on the ultramarine done. Now for the layering and washing. Not sure when I will be able to work on him again this week. Have to work long shifts for the next rew days. So I hope I can squeeze some time in today.

Nice model. Is it me, or is the blue a tad grey-ish for an ultramarine? I always find it hard to judge colour on pics unless they're pro-quality, so feel free to ignore me on this

Nice work on the deathwatch, I have always loved the concept as well.

Have you considered using different Space Marine Chapters rather than the same old first founding chapters that everyone uses?

You could have a Flesh Eater marine rather than a Blood Angel or a Sable Sword rather than a Dark Angel etc.

Kroem- I've always loved the idea myself. Kind of a cool concept to take the best of the best and make an elite force. I do plan on making other chapters as well but right now I'm staying true to the Kill Team Cassius. I got the masquerade box set so I have more death Watch to play with. And to make a Harlequin kill team to SWA.

Got a little bit more done. The kids wanted to take a bath so it gave me about 30 minutes to paint a bit. It's looking better but need to start on the arms. The left are is super easy.

It's 3 something in the am and I can't sleep. So why not paint. I got some more work done on my Ultramarine in my Death Watch Kill Team. Got most of the painting done. Need to prime and paint the base. But so far very pleased with him. Going to start the Dark Angel one next. Then the Space Wolf. Moving along at a good pace I think so far. Getting closer with this one. I'm not liking the plasma coil so I think I'm gonna redo that. And the lettering on the sword. Not sure how I want to do it so suggestions are welcome. But as a whole I like how it turned out.

Not done but will be soon. They are coming along nicely I think so far. Some minor detail work to do but I'm really liking this Kill Team. Once I get them done I have a couple of friends who want to do a 2 on one against them in SWA. I think the will do pretty good. If it's to one sided we will either up the point they can use or take a marine or 2 out. But here is a start on the space wolf from Kill Team Cassius.

More detail work done. Have really enjoyed painting these guys so far. A small update but here ya go. Here is a group picture of all 5.

Busted out Artimus. Loved the figure from inquisitor. And was super excited when the made a 28mm version of him. But he is looking pretty good so far. Don't know why for sure but I always got board with painting Marines but I think with death Watch because each one is so different and unique it's keeping my attention. Which is why I love my orks. Regardless of the clan they are in you can pretty much do what ever you want with them.

Thanks. I'm slowly remembering some of the tricks of painting. It's been awhile since I painted anything besides these deathwatch and a few other this past month.

Join the club. I have 4 yours of forgetting things to remember...

lol I know right. My wife and I had our son in 2012 and after that it just slowed down my painting. The has my daughter in 2015 and my sister moved in as well and lost my office. So all my stuff got packed up. Just started pulling my stuff out last month..... Still haven't found my air brush.

So was in my local hobbie store a couple weeks ago after getting the AOS starter box. And I have been telling myself lets do something g besides orks. So much for that. I saw the orruks brutes and fell in love with the models. They look so good and orky. So I got some and have been working on them for a couple weeks off and on when I can find the time. I've got 3 painted table top ready so far and 2 more in the works. I still want to add a inch more detail and some battle damage and gore. But man I am lovin these guys so far. Let me know what you think.

Looking good, you can seen right away that you love the models . Oh, and I still haven't found all my stuff... I can relate

I took 4-5 years out of gaming after getting married , still have most everything as I'm a hoarder, but most of my friends and gaming group had disappeared and I dislike the scene at the local shops (too much cussing to take my kids in there ), so never re established a new group.

CK- yes sir. I want to get the 5 done and them I'm gonna experiment with some battle damage and gore techniques I've been dreading about.

Theophony- I feel your pain. My old group is back home. Got with a new group when I moved. Fun bunch but they have all moved on. Kinda tried what you did. But the local shop is not really kid friendly. Now if you only lived in Hendersonville TN. Lol. Could start a new group.
