I've had a look through a dozen paint stripping threads on here, but I haven't found anything that answers this, so as a long time lurker, I emerge from the shadows to ask the following:
I've picked up a trio of titans (offer too good to refuse, though my wallet aches a little), but the paint job is... unimpressive.
I've got some Simple Green heading my way to do some stripping and the Reaver and Warhound can happily take a bath in that.
However, the Warlord is a little more awkward... The size is an issue, certainly, but worse is that it has been built in such a way that only the shoulder weapons and waist separate. This means that getting under the panels in the shoulders/arms/legs to repaint them would be practically impossible. Now, the structure below the panels is actually painted perfectly well (boltgun metal, which I can embellish a little), which leads me to this question:
How would you go about stripping the paint from the panels of a titan without bathing the entire titan?
Disassembly is an option, of course, but something I am trying to avoid. I don't know what is pinned, what is glued, etc, and that lack of knowledge could cause problems.
Thoughts?
