I guess I'm just new in general; new here, new to war games, and new to 40k... Or I will be soon. I'm doing my research and getting things ready before I go off spending all of my money though lol.

My plan is to get started with 8th edition using the dark eldar army ( more on this later in a questions thread though).

I'm a software developer and flooring installer who loves gaming, video or tabletop. I started off with card games like magic the gathering and moved into D&D and then Pathfinder. Now I want to get into Warhammer 40k, because I need an artistic outlet and it seems interesting, plus I painted and put together a handful of models for my brother years back.

Anyways, that's my story, I'm eager to get started in this hobby, and I just hope I can find a laid back group near me.
