So, I've recently heard that the Gods of Mars novel by Graham McNeill has an interesting reveal about the Ghoul Stars. Namely, that they were created by the shattering/draining of a C'tan in that region of space. I'd be very interested in hearing more about this, but I can't seem to find anything about it online. Would anyone who has read Gods of Mars be willing to share what the book says about this?

Havent read the book..

But Old C'tan fluff had it that that region lies the homeworld of the necrotyr, and these stars were feasted apon by the C'tan before they were given their metallic bodies

That's very interesting.
The Tyrannids Hive fleet Jormungandr are hitting directly into the Ghoul Stars. Its been stated before that tyrannids avoid necron space, wonder how this will go down.
