I was thinking about the viability of a mass Reaver list as its quick can stack attacks like crazy and has massive board control (normally I just use a couple of units for screening). Downside is I would need to do another 100 Reavers to have all the needed models. Has anyone played anything similar? I would think it maybe good against what is currently a mortal wound spam meta with over 200 wounds and multiple buff heroes (so can lose several and still have viable units). Obviously vs mass low quality attack lists is where it would suffer so the Ruk could be a big pain.

Aspiring Death Bringer - 80 - General, Violent Urgency
Skull Grinder - 80 - Mark of the Destroyer
Bloodsecrator - 120 - Brazen Rune
Bloodsecrator - 120
Chaos Warshrine - 200 - Khorne dedication
Dark Feast - 100
Slaughter Priest - 100 - +1 hit prayer
Bloodstoker - 80
30 * Reaver - 210
30 * Reaver - 210
30 * Reaver - 210
30 * Reaver - 210
30 * Reaver - 210
10 * Reaver - 70

I would assume that people would snipe out the Bloodsecrators and Deathbringer first but even then you can have large reaver unit on 3 attacks (due to priest and shrine being a totem) re rolling hits so still hitting pretty hard.

I've never tried a reaver horde but it sounds really fun.
The only issue I could possibly see is not being able to get enough of your guys into melee, as they'll get in the way of each other and you might get funnelled to make your numbers less meaningful. You can probably find ways to get enough guys into melee though if you're smart and the board layout works for you.
Your worst nightmare would probably be Sylvaneth, with the ability to plop down trees that hurt you when you pass through them, either blocking big areas off or causing dangerous terrain to trudge through, and also their dmg output from range. But you have heaps of models on the table so that might make up for it.
I'll also mention that I don't think the Slaughterpriest counts as a totem, he doesn't have the keyword.
But yeah, sounds like it could be quite a fun list

Sorry I was being lazy with my grammar. I know the priest isnt a totem the 3 attacks (if all bloodsecrators and champion are killed) come from priest +1 due to the dark feast battalion rules then the warshrine being a totem for an additional +1.

The two main issues with this are 1) It has all the weaknesses of lots of models (surface contact / terrain etc) as you pointed out. 2) Buying an extra 100 reavers that will only ever see play in one list is something I am struggling with.

The army does attract me though being unique and from a theory hammer perspective I think pretty good. Potentially a second blood stoker would be better than the grinder for helping get models from A to B and buffing large numbers of attacks.

It would certainly look really awesome, and the potential damage is pretty insane, as you mentioned.
But yeah, that's a lot of money, building and painting to do just for one list.
I've got about 80 reaver figures, just because they come in the starter set and all the other Khorne box sets I keep buying and I like to field a good amount in most of my lists, but the more I use them, the more I take out. I just find they either die way too quickly, or I can't get enough into melee to be worth it. Most horde armies require small bases and 2" range+ to really make the most of the high model count, like Deathrattle.
So I think it's a really awesome idea, and would look really cool, but possibly wouldn't perform well enough on the table to be worth all that money
