I put this here because I really didn't know where to put it on the forums lol

I'm looking for some advice on the rules for a new Escalation League for 8th Edition. Right now my group doesn't have any rules so people bring some cheesy lists. I want to prevent that since we have new and older players getting back into the game. The league will start at 500pts and end up at 2000pts.

500 - 750 Points

I've thought about Restricting the Patrol Detachment to 1 HQ, 1-3 Troops, 0-1 Elites, 0-1 Fast Attack, 0-1 Heavy Support, and 0-1 Optional additional Troop, Elite, Fast Attack, or Heavy Support options. No named HQs, No Flyers, and No Vehicle with 10 wounds or more. Originally it was no vehicles with 3+ save or better but that removed a lot of transports.

1000 Points

All available slots of the Patrol Detachment are available but the sames rules as above.

1250 - 2000 Points

All units and all of the Patrol Detachment slots are all allowed.

I would love any advice on how to make this even more fair for all of the races and any advice for Tyranids and MCs

8th is playtested by die hard tournament players. So I would say just go all out and use the rules suggested by them.
