Hello readers! I am planing to start playing 40k and I am deciding which army I will pick.

I am considering the miniature style and the play-style to pick my army. I am searching for an army with not a lot of units, I prefer few but strong units, I never been the guy of blobs armies. I like the space marine units, their suits and vehicles are really interesting to me. Also want to paint them my style, creating a new chapter for them.

Do you think the space marine suit me well? Even I like the miniatures, do they usually play with less units than other armies?

Thanks for reading!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

How would you like to play Space Marines but cooler ones because they have spikes?

From what games I have played in 8th ed so far, Terminator units are really good at this: they can teleport within 9" of an enemy, combi-weapons give them ridicules amounts of fire power for a small unit and they can then charge with two attacks each using power weapons to mulch enemy units. (Take Chaos Terminators with a Khorne Lord and an Icon of Wrath for re-rolling 1s to hit and re-rolling charge ranges)
Another good unit for mid-range firepower and assault capabilities are bikes: very similar to terminators but they lose an invulnerable save for greater manoverability. (Go chaos for the same reasons as above )

Can I ask what you are looking for in the fluff side of your army?
