Hi people.
So I just commanded the models I thought were the coolest for the Death Guard (the three HQ and two units of Plague marines).
Then, I was wondering what would be worth it between foetid blight drones and poxwalkers and in which numbers.
What is your opinion on the subject ?

I think the HQs and Plague marines are solid, and if you want to play a Death Guard army, you'll probably be using them.

My guess is the Poxwalkers wont be that popular due to not being that much harder to kill than cultists, having no guns, not being particularly mobile, and not being worth buying a rhino for.
I could see them being used as a cheap screening unit, and they are immune to morale which is quite good. The issue is, i think Abaddon + Cultists is probably better at that (I realize he isn't Death Guard, so if that is important to you then yeah you might prefer Poxwalkers).

The Foetid Bloat Drone really doesn't impress me, though I may be missing something. It costs a lot (158) and doesn't really do a lot of damage in range or shooting from what i can tell. It is reasonaly fast, and is pretty hard to kill, but i'm just not sure why I would ever take one.

I'm holding out my verdict on the bright drone. Worst case scenario, I'll chop it up for a daemon prince conversion. Poxwalkers are okay, but I think they will shine in huge numbers with a typhus and lord of contagion in the middle of them.
