i have 9 scarabs 117
20 immortals 340
40 warriors 480
for the silver tide

i got 2 monoliths but might field one at 381
an overlord at least at 101 (i could use help from gear i should be adding to him)
i got 10 deathmarks at 200

i also have 3 tomb blades and 5 destroyers which might have been nerfed might not field them.

my question is how i should build an army. we can be flexible in points as long as its a round numbers. e.g. 1500 1850. and what should i add or take away to be prepared for my first win or loss? haha. thanks.

Tesla Immortals seem good, especially with the ability of the Overlords to give them +1 to hit, making both 5s and 6s do extra hits. I would probably go ahead and take them all.

For the overlord, I think the Orb is a must, and the Staff of light or the Warscythe both seems good. I think i like the shooting ability of the Staff but don't know that it matters a ton.

I would also probably go ahead and take all 40 warriors in 2 units.

This gets you to 974 points (with staff of light) and is a pretty good core to the army, i think.

I would probably try one monolith, and the deathmarks. You could do 2 monoliths and probably be okay, since they are hard to kill, and have good firepower as well.

You also want another HQ if you have one, both to fill the required detachment slots and to have another Orb. Then if you have points left, throw in the Destroyers, scarabs, or Tomb blades and see how they do. If you feel like something doesn't perform well, try something else next time.

Anyway those are my thoughts.

on the forum. Obviously

I'm not too sure about the bonus from MWBD, as that would also imply that advancing and shooting at flyers would take away your tesla effect.
Honestly, I would wait until 8th ed and the FAQ have been released before worrying too much.
