Hello Dakkaites! (Dakkaers? Dakkapi? Is there a term for a group of Dakka forum dwellers? )

*Ahem*

So in this little Project Log of mine I will (Hopefully without getting too distracted) track my progress for my Tau Empire army and its development in this new edition of Warhammer 40k! Though the spotlight will primarily be upon my growing army of gunda-ummm-battlesuits, my lovely Cryx will be appearances as well!

Soooo.....without further ado, here is the plan!

After a lot of Rainbow Six:Siege and Appleseed influence, I am aiming to have a "Future SWAT" themed Tau army. Though I like Tau, the idea of painting nothing but blue fish people with the occasional Chickenman sprinkled around does not appeal to me. SO I decided to make a mixed race "Team" where my squads can be populated with multiple different races (providing lots of different stuff to paint). There will be no reasonable explanation as to why but hopefully my BS "lore" will be distracting enough to stop the questions!

Here we go!!!




"New recruits transferring in from the academy eh? Why not just throw them in-front of a firing squad, it'll probably be the same result in the end anyways." I scratch my head and sigh, "They know that New Sagrea is a haven for mercs, junkies, and mobs, so why keep tossing us all these freshies who just barely squeaked by? We could use some more people with some damn experience don't you think Sergeant?"

I flash a glance at the woman who had brought me the files of the new transfers, a look of frustration plastered across her pale face.

"If I may Chief," I wave, acknowledging her wish to speak her mind, "It seems that the brass back home don't seem to understand how dangerous our work is out here on a fringe world."

Her posture shifts as her irritation starts to seep through the cracks in her normally professional exterior,

"They seem to think that we're just a place for them to dump all their unwanted "assets"! That this is just as good of place as any to send those who aren't the shining example of what they want, it's disgus-"

I raise my hand to cut her off,

"You've made your point Sergeant Yan'vre, and while I don't disagree with your grievances," I look at the carpet, "Your hooves are tearing up my carpet again..."

"Sorry sir! I just get so frustrated by these moronic decisions that I can't help but get fired up, and unfortunately that leads to me bracing like back..."

"When you were a soldier for the Empire, I know." I sigh, "But never forget, your job is to protect the people now, and that includes our little recruits. So why don't we go introduce ourselves to the runts, and show off a little?"

I stand and head towards the door,

"And Sergeant, I don't want them to see you coming, it's always so entertaining to see the look on their faces as they see your Suit appear out of thin air."

"Yes sir Chief!"

SO on a non fictional note, the above is my Commander Shadowsun, though only the top of her head as I'm working on her hair atm (First attempt at a scratch built head outta greenstuff )

Unfortunately I have just started on my Tau BUT her is a Bane Witch Agatha!
