This sounds remedial, but can someone help shed some light to me on the command dice?

I mean.. why do we have so many? are they not just regular D6 for keeping track of the handful of command points you have? Or are they used for something else/differently? And there were a couple at the bottom with different icons on them, I wasn't sure what those were for.

If you're referring to the Warhammer 40,000 Command Dice set, it's just a normal set of 20 with 6 "used to show a variety of combat statuses as outlined in the Warhammer 40,000 rules, making it easy to keep track of where in the phases of the game you are".
