Just stumbled upon this one.. funded and all, 3 days left.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robotic-industries/buildone-99-3d-printer-w-wifi-and-auto-bed-levelin/

It won't be good enough for miniatures, but it should be good enough for terrain projects. Says it can do 50 micron for the lowest layer height. There's lots of upgrades you can get, and it maxes out at like $225. I don't think I can afford it right now, but I might look into it when it's released if the price is still low.

That's actually a pretty nifty find, and fortunate getting it so close to the end of the KS.

This, so this!

I did back the Form1 on Kickstarter, and am happy that I did despite some issues (having gone through the Form1, Form1+, and now Form2 until they finally got it right!). But the number of 3d printer projects that fail to deliver a quality product is staggering. Conversely, those that deliver well and anywhere near on time are like a needle in a haystack.

I'd go with an established FDM printer for rough prints, or a B9 Creator or Form2 for some basic miniatures-level prints. But honestly, there are so many great services to print through now, that's a really attractive option for most people, imo.

Anyway, just wanted to agree with this warning!

Agreed, will wait for a retail release & customer reviews for this. Props to them for trying though.
