So looking at running my golden boys now that i have tried my fav army for a bit (orks) and new guys (primaris) i am thinking of good units for synergy. I am currently thinking imperial guard tak commander and leman russes plus some scions as troops to hold the backfield and objectives while the custodes do the skull bashing up front. Basically 2 venerable land raiders, 2-3 custodes, 2 venerable contemptor dreds with assault cannons then said tank commander and a couple morelrman russes all plasma amd scions to fill points. Anybody think of better allies to make a majority custodes army work?

The first thing that comes to my mind is Saint Celestine with Sisters of Battle support. This Sisters give the Custodes what they really need: anti-horde and flamers. Celestine also a front line contender who can hang with the Custodes without instantly evaporating.

You're gonna be strapped for points, but Guilliman isn't a bad LoW to take with them either since he's one of their few sources of auras.
