I am shifting my Eldar towards a wraith army mostly. I have had a few games with my wraithguard and wraithblades and they have done well and I just ordered a wraithseer because, well it looks cool. Anyone have any experience with them yet? Its a 12 wound body with an invul and a D cannon so it seems like it has good firepower and defense. Its spells seem lackluster though. How do you use them? I like him just for rule of cool but what are the best ways to include him and utilize him to his fullest?

Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage's whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men.

My knowledge here is mostly academic. I will be running mine with 3 wraithlords though the added buffs are nice and wraithlords are surprisingly good for the points, GW sold enough wraithknights I suppose as now it is extremely overcosted for the points

I'll be converting one as soon as the d-cannon bit I ordered shows up...

As for how effective it'll be? If nothing else, it's another psyker. Giving 6+ FNP or smiting in addition to the d-cannon ain't bad. Expensive, but not bad.

That said, swapping him out for a 66 point spiritseer will probably happen a lot.

When someone smiles at me, all I see is a chimpanzee begging for its life.

I have used it. Its spells are useful but not amazing. Enliven helps to guarantee charge rolls. Foreboding was useful in combination with a Hemlock Wraithfighter's 12" aura of -1 leadership but not terribly useful unless you have other things in your force to capitalize on it. Deliverance is great on a unit of Wraithblades -- it's a slightly less good version of Fortune, but useful all the same. The D-cannon is solid, and the Wraithseer itself has given me no cause to complain, but it generally isn't the only HQ I field: I pair it with either a Spiritseer or a Farseer.
