Hi all,

Yet another airbrush question for you all, had a quick scan of the forum and couldn't find any discussion relevant to these two brushes.

I'm coming from a Neo for Iwata airbrush and have narrowed down my new choice to either the Evolution 2 in 1 or the Eclipse. The main thing I'm looking for is ease of use and something that is (relatively) forgiving easy to clean, plus moving away from those horrible tiny nozzles. I still consider myself a novice but have gained some understanding from using the Neo over a year or so.

My local gaming group have heavily recommended the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS as they all use this air brush themselves. However, Amazon currently only sells this from a seller I don't fully trust (as standard delivery takes 3-4 weeks... which sounds a lot like it's coming from China). I'd prefer to buy on Amazon as I have some vouchers, but if the Iwata is the clear choice I'm happy to look elsewhere to buy it.

So, is there any major pros or cons between these two airbrushes? There don't seem to be many direct comparisons online and they are both priced around the same. Obviously the Evolution comes with two needle assemblies which is a perk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The H&S is obviously more versatile, I have both of these airbrushes, but if you're looking for ease and forgiving, definitely go with the Iwata.

My group all got the H&S Infinity (not the Evolution) 2-in-1 together, because it's a nice ab capable of low psi and fine detailing, but everyone of us has gone through nozzles faster than paint. They are made of a very delicate material. That said, if you're really careful it's a great ab. Edit: I have no idea if the Evolution is the same in terms of durability fyi.

The HP-CS was my first ab and it's a great tool. It has small parts, I mean most airbrushes do, but I find it cleans fairly easy.

I have a H&S Ultra 2-in-1. Was about £80, and worth every penny.
