Got a couple primaris to add to my dark admech army, because obviously these are heretical abominations and Cawl is secretly dark Mech. Anyone have suggestions to add a subtle chaos look to them?

I play Alpha Legion so I'm less about the absurd spikes and chaos symbols everywhere. With my primaris I filed off the aquilas, removed any purity seals, and replaced the heads and left shoulderpads with FW Alpha Legion ones.

I think that and the appropriate paint scheme is about all I'm going with, except for my HQ which like any army gets special treatment in terms of extra bits.

For a dark mech army, maybe try to find a bunch of techmarine shoulderpads (do darkmech have their own separate symbol?) and some cool bionics.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

The easiest way would be some shoulder pads, a Chaos head, and maybe a Chaos backpack. You don't need much Chaosification for them to look the part. My entire Chaos Space Marine force has...almost ZERO Chaos components outside of some backpacks. But people recognize them as Chaos almost immediately. They have some chipped/grungy paint and are done in a reasonable muted/dark scheme.
