Along with me getting back into 40K with the new addition I have also brought in my Nephew with me.

For his 12th birthday earlier this year I bought him the Dark Vengeance set and he really likes the CSM the most and wants to do them as Black Legion after I gave him my Traitor Legions book.

I also own Dark Vengeance but have never expanded my CSM beyond this so would be great if you could comment on the 1000 point list below so my Nephew knows what to buy next. The aim of the army is to play casual games at the local GW store and with me.

He owns Dark Vengeance models and with his gift voucher bought a pack of Raptors because he liked them. I am suggesting in the list below he buys another box of Raptors to make it a 10 man squad, a Chaos Rhino and a box of Chaos Space Marines. He has also suggested he would like to have some Khorne Daemons to get him to a 1500 point army.

2 of the 3 troops are cultists which will get blown off the map very quickly, a few options
-maybe some heavier units to back them up like terminators
-if he wants KD then maybe some berserkers (go chainsword and chainaxe) and Kharn or a Daemon Prince for the summoning.
-If he wants to stay godless maybe some havoks (some people swear by lasguns, mine all have launchers from way back).
-Just more marines, combine the cultists to 20 and 10 more CSM
Side note If he ever wants deathguard most people in casuals wont have a problem with the cultists being pox walkers
