It says to split dice between multiple weapons in CC, to use both weapons would mean including their rules, granting two additonal attacks, no? As Knives are free, any unit allowed Melee weapons can simply add 1 attack, no?

I am confused as to what you're asking since you don't give a specific example.

If you have two chainswords, you get two bonus attacks because each triggers. You don't need to use the chainsword to get it's bonus attacks. "Using" each seperate chainsword doesn't do anything special

Wolf Guard are allowed to take an additional melee weapon, Chainsword being an option. They've 2 attacks base, plus two more from two Chainswords, plus Arjac grants them yet another attack. Free is a beautiful thing xD

You don't have to use Chainswords (via splitting your attacks) to gain the bonus attack. If you had e.g. a Power Sword and a Chainsword and 4 Base Attacks, you could do 4 attacks with the power sword and 1 additional attack with the Chainsword
