Hey, I've acquired roughly 3000pts worth of Astra Militarum and I can't wait to game.
Release of 8th edition really got me back into something I loved as a kid, but never pursued very far. I've played a fair bit of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, but never 40k.
Currently working on a rattle can based colour scheme for my army, which is going to be based around "The Fang" for an urban feel.
Let me know if you have any tips on this technique (or maybe even more helpfully - where I can get a bunch of plasma gun wielding guardsmen) or you're in Edinburgh and fancy a game

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Howdy-ho there!
Welcome to Dakka.
I'm your only slightly friendly neightbourhood tau!
The forum seems like a rather nice place so far and I hope you enjoy yourself here!

What branch of the Imperial Guard did you pick to play?
I have a few Cadian Shock Troopers rattling around somewhere that need painting, but I'm considering switching over to Catachan
