Looking at a problem that some of you must have already solved, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm about to build a razorback, and I want to leave the tracks off to paint them separately. Parts of the upper body lie over a few bits of the tracks. Can I assemble everything except the tracks and still have room to fit them in, or do I need to paint a load of sub assemblies and stick them together afterwards?

Yes you can. I'd paint the side and number on the reverse so that you can place them easily, but you won't have a problem getting them in.

Thanks JamesY. I'll assemble and paint it all except the tracks, and go one side at a time, in that case.

Yeah, I have done this - it works.

If you are going to apply a wash, don't forget to do first as well!

best of luck!
