Hi there everyone!
Recently finished building my Necron models and I was thinking on how to colour them. By browsing the WarhammerTV channel, I stumbled upon this really cool Canoptek Spyder

I really want to emulate the scheme, but I didn't find much on the web so far. For reference, the video was a demonstration of Citadel Technical paints, in particular the "New Citadel paints - Nihilakh Oxide." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw3iLEW1P2o)

Can anyone of you aid this helpless soul(less skeleton)?

Oh, on top of this, instead of doing the regular green glow, I had in mind to go for a purple glow. Got any leads on that too? Thanks!

I haven't got exact colours or specs, but I might surmise you would start with a black primer, followed by one of the bronze metalic paints, an Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil wash, and an edge highlight of leadbelcher for the main metal parts. The Nihilac Oxide can be seen at the joints. As for the white, it seems to be a bit off, so my best guess is there was a very light grey, like Administratum or Ulthuan even, with white highlights.

Can't help you with a purple glow though.

So, the white looks like it's using Ulthuan Grey with White Scar highlights and probably an Agrax shade.

I'd say the bronze is most likely Balthazar Gold, heavily shaded with Agrax, but it may also be Warplock Bronze, though that may be too dark. Either way it looks like it's been highlighted with Sycorax Bronze and then an extreme highlight of a silver, similar to Stormhost Silver.

With the purple, the way I do glowing eyes is to paint the eye white, and then paint a purple glaze over it, then 'Ard Coat, to give it a glowing glass effect. Simple and has a nice finish.
For other things, I'd paint them Xerius Purprle, highlight with Genestealer Purple then an extreme highlight of maybe Dechala Lilac. I don't really paint with purple, but those colours seem to work the best in my mind, but don't hold me to it.

Firstly, thanks everybody for the replies

For the white I think I'll go with Ulthuan + Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade + White scar highlight. Looking around, I've also found that a base of Celestra Gray before the Ulthuan Grey could help. What do you think?

Regarding the bronze, wouldn't be the Balthazar Gold be too "warm"? I was thinking about Warplock Bronze base + Runelord Brass layer + Nuln Oil shade + final highlight of... well something agree with the extreme highlight of silver though! Do you think it's best to layer them or could drybrushing also work?

Finally, I'm yet not completely shure about the purple glow. I will try Tiberius501's advice and see how I fair. Otherwise I'll ditch the idea and revert to the "classic green" glow

The Celestra Grey will definitely help for the Ulthuan, good idea.

I think if the Balthazar is heavily washed with Agrax or Nuln, it will go much darker. Warplock could look good too I think, it'll just end up quite dark, so it depends on what you want. Either look good in my mind.

Orange or even blue may also be a cool alternatives for the glow, and they'll go nicely with the scheme.

I have to say, it's a lovely scheme to go with. The white and bronze will look delicious
