Hello, my name's OrkPlayer500 and I've been plumbing the depths of Dakkadakka for at least a year now, but I've never been bothered enough to join! I'm an avid fan of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar, although I only play 40k.

HOW I STARTED
I began playing in 2015 when I saw a friend's Ultramarine bikers. I then picked up 30 Ork Boyz (no, I didn't buy the codex first) and the painting starter set, and painted them.

MY ARMIES
ORKS
These 30 Boyz were soon turned into a sizeable horde that outnumbers nearly every other army at my club, and includes a Looted Imperial Knight, as well as Orks of every klan!
GENESTEALER CULTS AND IMPERIAL GUARD
Tyranids were nearly my first army, and I always intended to do them. When the Genestealer Cult army came out, I loved them, and just HAD to do an army. I painted them red and black, my two favourite colours, and also the colours that I had intended to paint my Tyranids when I get around to getting some.

Yet, whilst I was reading up on GSC fluff, I discovered the idea of Brood Brothers, humans indoctrinated into the Cult. And then 8th ed came out and I got Index Xenos 2, which had a rule for GSC called 'Brood Brothers', allowing you to take a detachment of IG in the army. This sparked the idea for an Imperial army using the GSC conversion sprue, yet used as an Imperium army! This will begin at Christmas, and I may make a blog for it.

Anyway, I am very excited to be on Dakkadakka, and am looking forward to future armies and threads.
