With the total eclipse of the sun possibly foretelling of the end of humanity, why not sit back and watch a brand new Glacial Geek Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/pVmycy1iopI This week my Dark Angels take on the Emperor's Children! The vile Emperor's Children had been operating out of this planet for a while now. The human populous had been enslaved and subjected to their depraved whims. On top of all this, a band of the Fallen had been cooperating with the Emperor's Children and operating out of this planet as well. With this in mind, the Dark Angels decided that the people on this planet needed liberation ... And obviously a debriefing. Will the Unforgiven free the people of this planet and get the information they want, or will the Emperor's Children repel the assault and continue to reign over this planet? Watch and find out!

Great game! I definitely feel like the EC list was more competitive, although I think since he chose to take Daemonettes he shouldn't have gotten the EC tactics (but there's a long debate about that on these very forums...). Also, the Sorcerer who blew himself up should not have even been able to try to cast a power on the Daemonettes since they are not Heretic Astartes. That said, the legion tactic for Emperor's Children, combined with things like the Icon of Excess, make them really spicy and difficult to deal with in CC.

Keep the reports coming!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):

Lasher tendrils are now a flat 6 attacks, not d6. You guys forgot.

And he used 1 cp to reroll a missed hit on his mauler fiend? There is a strategem called Daemonforge that lets a daemon engine (like a mauler fiend) reroll all hits and all to wounds in that phase. If he used it instead, it would have been so much more fierce! lol

Brutal game really enjoyed it.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.
