I started playing 40k a few years ago (a few months before Dark Vengeance got released), but the guys that introduced me to the hobby stopped playing 2 months after DV's release , so I got kind of dissapointed that I could finally buy my first minis (There are no GW stores in this part of Mexico, so they can take a while to arrive in the mail) and I had nobody to play with, I just stored them for a long period of time. Now I realized that I can still enjoy the hobby by myself and after multiple visits to Dakka looking for painting advice among other things I decided to join the club.

Right now I'm a BA and DA fan, btw.

Sometimes the hobby side of the game is the more enjoyable experience. Certainly it's the one that will be fun to do no matter what state the game is in. That being said, hopefully you can find some mates to play with, perhaps even right here.
