So on the first few times reading the rules for stealth suits and indirect fire I read it as "add one dice" meaning it scatters the total of the two dice, however it could mean just pick the highest of the two/three dice.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

The one time it came up for me I "added" a third die to the roll and took the worst of the three (up to 6 "). I could see it being read either way you described, but it seemed consistent with the normal scatter adding a die to the chances and still only deviating up to 6" kind of like move through cover and purity seals which are completely unrelated but follow a similar pattern. I don't think there is a difinitive RAW interpretation available.

I agree with both of you guys. It doesn't say that you add another D6, it just says you "roll an additional D6 for scatter."

So I think you roll 3D6 and pick the highest. I don't think it can be argued any other way.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

It's okay. I needed that last stealth suit to go back to the Empire and tell them to join the Imperium. Because Salamanders own.
