just one quick question that I can't seem to get answered anywhere else.

The FW leviathan dreadnought. Can it or can it not be part of a grey knights detachment?

For what I understand, there is no Dreadnought in Grey Knight codex. Mean you can still use it in your Grey Knight army since it's Imperium unit, however it will not fill any of your detachment requirement say, "Elite Requirement" since it's not part of your Grey Knight "option"

So 1) you either use another Grey Knight Elite ex: Grey Knight Terminator to meet that "Elite" detachment requirement

Or 2) have another detachment in addition, with Space Marine and Dreadnought

Edited: that said there is Grey Knight Dreadnought, it's called Dread Knight, but that is another different unit. So I don't know maybe you can proxy your Dreadnought as Dreadknight. Since they are both drastically different it's depend whether your opponent is ok with it.

I see. Ive heard that when it comes to FW units one can replace <chapter>, <regiment>, <forge world>....and so on with the appropriate thing.
In my case it would be Imperium, Adeptus Astartes, <Grey Knights>.

Kinda like people who have those fancy Sicaran Battle Tanks and/or insert pattern Vindicator and still fit the requirements of chapter tactics.

I'm working on getting enough units to have 50/50 Grey knights Admech <deimos> army and really really want to use the dreadnought I picked up on a deal.

A: Yes. You cannot choose for any of these units to be
from the Legion of the Damned or Grey Knights

Chapters. They can be from any other Chapter though,
including Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves
and Deathwatch.

Can't have the Grey Knights keyword, so it cannot be a part of a Grey Knights detachment. You can run it in a Imperium detachment (at the cost of any codex buffs that require a Grey Knights detachment), or take one as a auxiliary detachment ( -1 CP).
