Dear all,
A friend of mine want to start W40k with a Slaanesh daemon army.
I want to give him a good, solid, funny, 500pts starting list (no 3x of any please ).
Any suggestions?
I'm a Space Marines player, so... ehm... I know nothing about daemon!

Thanks in advance!

Pure Slaanesh Daemons is in a bad place at the moment - too squishy and doesn't bring enough pain to counter this fact IMO.

At 500 points I would be looking at running an outrider detachment with the following:

Herald of Slaanesh either on a Steed or Seeker Chariot (a much needed +1 strength aura buff)

2 x Hellflayer Chariots
Unit of Seekers with Instrument + Icon (optional) + enough Seekers to fill out the rest of the points.

Seekers will advance up the table and charge T1 for a total of a 16" + 3d6 threat radius. Chariots and Herald catch up and pile in where possible. I don't advise taking Daemonettes as they are garbage, they will generally take until turn 3 to be able to charge, and with t3 and a 5++ they won't last long enough to get into combat.

If your friend wants to run Slaanesh I suggest they look at starting an Emperors Children army with a daemon component. I think they would have more fun with Noise Marines shooting than having their daemon army shot off the table before doing any damage.
