Finally getting around to taking photos of the heldrake in its airborne glory. 1 min showcase video here, otherwise some pics below: https://youtu.be/WvTntyD86cw

The statue is mounted on the original flying base, and a brass rod is embedded all the way through it, and up into the heldrake's body section. Statue itself is filled with sand, rocks, and glue to counterbalance the flying turkey. Enjoy!

I really like the colour choice here. It makes the heldrake look a lot more sleek and menacing than the cartoony paintjob from GW.

Cool idea and execution, I also like the colour scheme. Well done!

However, it seems like it's missing a back spike? It doesn't look intentional.

Thanks guys, was a lot of fun to put together. Also a giant pain. But fun.

He is missing a back spike, good eye. Took him to Valhalla right after I finished him, and a model like this (unsurprisingly) doesn't travel as well as I'd like. Don't have the spare bits to repair, so still thinking through how I'll handle that issue

Very cool. Even with the counter weight, does this have any issues tipping over?

Not really. The bigger issue is reaching around it when it's table center
