Are the Autarch options the only Index options that didn't get updated in the codex?

I ask because I am going to cut all the pages with the relevant rules out of my Index and put them in my Codex for reference.
As far as I know, only the Autarch options are still valid as every other option was updated

Aside for that and maybe some Exarch wargear, is there any other reason to hold onto the Index (Ynnari, DE and Harlie stuff not included)?

Sunrifle!

I miss my sunrifle...

All the Exarch options not in the current kit were removed. Can still take them from the Index per the FAQ, as you seem to be alluding to.

Not sure if there were others.

Yeah, that's what I am alluding to. I want to print off that flow chart about Index/Codex options and put the few pages of the Index into my Codex. That way all the rules for my Eldar are in 1 book for convenience.

I could probably live without any of the Exarch special wargear options that are Index only since I didn't use any of them before and don't currently use Hawks, Banshees or Scorpions.

Am I right in thinking only the 'Autarch with Warp Jump Generator' option from the index is still valid?

It's "valid" in that you can take it from its entry in the Index, but you won't find it in the codex proper.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

It's the only full datasheet missing that's in the index but not the codex, but as per https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/warhammer_40000_designers_commentary_en-1.pdf (last page is a flowchart that explains this) you can still bring other Autarchs with their index weapon options, as well as Hawk exarchs with Sunrifles etc. You'll use the codex datasheets, abilities and point values when applicable, even though the loadout you're using isn't in the codex.

Thank you, I hadn't seen that flowchart.

So wargear options missing from the codex can be taken from the index.

That makes me happy!

My question is:

Do the 'index options' they speak of just mean extra things you can take in addition to the standard wargear for the codex data sheet, or can you give up all the codex standard items and just use the index datasheet to determine wargear you take?

For example, I take a foot Autarch from the codex. He comes standard (in the codex) with a Star-Glaive which cannot be swapped for anything. If I want to take some options from the index, am I still forced to take the Star-Glaive as well?

Seems like a grey area based on the wording. I would imagine no, as the spirit of the rule is to allow you to bring models which were previously sold but have no current model. My foot Autarch purchased a few years ago certainly doesn't come with a Star-Glaive.

They give a dedicated answer to this about the Autocannon Dreadnought. It does have a codex data sheet. It does not have that option in the codex. In the index it does so they really left the door way open for players to bend the armies to be index inclusive despite a more tightly defined codex data sheet.
