Hey there, trying to build a competitive list for a tournament. Mortarion and princes go for killing business, poxwalkers and plaguebearers deploy into 2 wide lines and advance, epidemus is hanging back keeping home field objective and provides tally buffs. Great unclean one and Herald leads the horde.

Could tweak it to get obsec for the troops. Move morty into the supreme command and split 2 troop and a hq into a patrol.

Is there a reason why they are not obsec now?

to have obj secure you need to have a detachment DEATH GUARD so only units with death guard keyword in that detachement, if you move 1 Dp and the plaguebearers in a patrol, poxwalhers gets onj sec, btw poxes without thypus or any way to pump them are pretty weak.

But moving them into patrol breaks the battalion, guess Ill be going without obsec.. also, I m thinking about cultists instead of poxwalkers, any thoughts on that?

Probably better value taking cultists. Easy enough to spit one unit in two then and retain obsec.

I thought there was either an FAQ or something GW released a while back stating all troops choices had obsec to compete with the codex armies? Maybe there is a restriction on that though.

It's in chapter approved, you still have to have the whole detachment with the same codex faction keyword.
Doesn't include daemons which will get thier own codex soon
