For my Fallen's power weapons, I decided I wanted purple glaze, as I use the green glaze for my Word Bearers' weapons. Alas, GW does not make purple glaze.

Has anyone mixed the red and blue to make purple, with or without success?

Is there another way to achieve his effect?

Is there another company's paint that would suffice?

Thanks!

(Lahmain Medium + Purple Paint of your choice) x some experimentation to get a consistency you're happy with = Purple Glaze.

Lahmain Medium is just the Citadel name for Glaze Medium, which is just a fancy name for acrylic paint without any color added. All a Glaze is is paint with a much higher percentage of carrier and much lower percentage of pigment than normal.

Azreal nailed it. Any paint mixed with any glaze medium will work. Lahmian medium is actually the only GW hobby product that I buy because it works so well, but I also use a lot of Vallejo glaze medium.

Another alternative is buy blue glaze and red glaze and pour the blue in to the red.

That's how I made purple ink, purple Tamiya Clear and purple metallic paint.

It's usually better to pour the blue in to the red because most purples are more on the red side than the blue side, but if you want a really blue purple you could do it the other way.
