I recently purchased the Brass Scorpion from forgeworld (amazing model!), and I was looking for some recommendations to building a Chaos Army around it. I'm looking to make this army monster/vehicle/artillery based, but have no experience building a Chaos army

I'd recommend a Chaos Daemons detachment so you can deep strike the Brass Scorpion. Are you looking to do pure Khorne or is a mixed allegiance army acceptable?

I'd throw in some blood slaughterers, contemptor dreads, bloodcrusher units, predators, possibly defiler and some hellbrutes.

I'd be open to mixed allegiance. Is there a new daemon stratagem that lets the Brass Scorpion deep strike? And thanks for the suggestions so far!

Mauler fiends, Forge Fiends, Hell Drakes sound complimenting to it. I think a Lord of Skulls would steal the lime light but that's your call. I would say Warp Smiths would be something to look at as well. Bloodcrushers sound good, but I would say be careful with over doing the deamon engine theme. Maybe figure out if you want to go regular deamons or marines to give it a bit more tactical / fluff depth if that makes sense.

I think you're thinking of Blood Slaughterer? Bloodcrushers are daemons.

Yeah 1/2CP depending on PL of unit. Pretty sure brass scorpion is 2CP one. Of course you could just take cheap herald+some nurglings for patrol detachment. Even battallion you can get for like ~200 pts and get 3CP, some heralds and nurglings to screen.

Don't get too excited about that stratagem, we're all pretty sure that it's going to immediately be FAQ'd so that CSM daemons can't use it.
