Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone is enjoying t heir new year. I had an observation today that I hope someone could shed light on. I`m wanting to start a bike heavy SM army and went to the GW site today to check some pricing out and noticed that the SM bikes are listed as not only "Sold Out Online" but also as "No Longer Available". The only other thing I have seen on the site listed as "No Longer Available" is the Tri-predator kill shot box. I have seen the "Sold Out Online" before and know that it means it`s out of stock but does the "No Longer Available" mean they are reboxing or changing the kit or something like that?

Thanks so much!

It's just a reboxing probably, keeps happening, nothing to worry about here.

Ironically enough, bikes are slowly being phased out.

Sites like Kromlech have alternative bikes for sale thus reducing GW's sales.

They might be reboxing, but are far more likely to currently just not be producing them at all in order to make more of the models they are selling.

it's production issues, basicly GW's factory is having some retooling done and their output is DRASTICLY reduced. apparently they'll be up to 100% capacity come spring time

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

There`s a couple of boxes of bikes at my FLGS so I might pick them up before they can`t get them into stock. Good to know.

I was worried when I saw the no more availability.

Made me worried.

Sold out online + no longer avalible, means they are removing the actual model from production so yea, it is gone.

Temporarely out of stock online means reboxing or that they have actualy run out of models to sell and need to make more.

however i just browsed the uk webshop and no bikes are in either status here.
the only sm things that has Sold out online + no longer avalible is the triumvirate box and the triplebox of killshots.

I could be a reboxing, a removing from production or GW is planning to release update models.

A few months ago lots of units from harlequins and dark eldar went sold out online + no longer available, but it was just a reboxing.

However the SM bikes kit is very old, and the same army has tons of units anyway, it could be OOP for real, we'll see.

I dunno bikes are incrediably popular, getting rid of them would be a big mistake and a win only for third party producers

If a product is going to be discontinued it will have a hour glass looking pair of red skull appear on it. In the top right corner.

A discontinued product on limited reprint comes up with a pair of red hammers in a gear.

I doubt they'll be getting rid of bikes so soon after the release of Dark Angels with the Ravenwing. It's likely a re-boxing.

I have vague recollection that a few months ago in some response on their FB they said 'Wouldn't it be cool if there would be new bikes' or something like that.

Emperor knows that those models could use an update! The bike design itself is from 2nd edition.

Personally I'll be waiting for Primaris bikes (I hope they'll get jetbikes!)

The Ravenwing bike set and White Scars upgrades are still available, so I very much doubt SM bikes are going anywhere. Likely a reboxing, maaaaybe changing the number of bikes in the kit or asthetics.

It never ends well
