Hey guys! Working on a new army for this years project, and I am looking for some feedback. I tend to like to run pure lists, so this may be odd but any pointers you can give while sticking to the theme would be much appreciated.

Regiment- Cadia

Tempestor Prime with command maul and power maul
Tempestor Prime with power fist and command rod
Tempestor Prime with power fist and command rod

10 Tempestus Scions with 2 meltaguns
10 Tempestus Scions with 2 meltaguns
10 Tempestus Scions with 2 meltaguns

4 Tempestus scions in command squad with 4 Plasma Guns
4 Tempestus scions in command squad with 4 Plasma Guns
4 Tempestus scions in command squad with 4 Plasma Guns

3 Leman Russ Punishers with heavy stubbers

6 Taurox Primes with Battle Cannon, 2 autocannons, and heavy stubber

The idea of the list is to deploy all the vehicles on the table and deep strike the infantry in. The leman russ punishers move forward to clear chaff and draw fire while the taurox primes serve as a mobile gun line. The 2 tempestor primes deep strike with command squads to issue reroll ones orders to the plasma gunners and try to nuke big nasties while the 3 10 man squads attempt to to grab objectives and tote meltaguns so they can attempt to defend themselves. I was thinking cadian or catachan as regiments would be strong for a list like this so they can pump out more shots. Obviously close combat would ruin my day. Thoughts?

I'm not an expert and I normally don't run extremely competitive lists but I also have a pure tempestus scions list so I will give my thoughts.

3 Punishers and 6 taurox with battle cannons seems like a bit too much dakka to me. Normally I run 6-8 taruox and half of them have the missile launcher and the other half the battle cannon. Im not sure if these 6 meltaguns will be enough to deal with the really big and high toughness things. Also, I might be wrong and maybe I did not get what do you mean by having them as Catachan or Cadian but I would say that if you include those Leman russ I thing youll loose your regimental doctrine since I won't be anymore a pure scions detachment (I personally like fluffy and purely scions, this is up to you).

Also, Im not a big fan of the command squds. I would personally just run 1 or 2. I will drop one of your squads and then one can go full plasma and the other full melta. This way you may have a full 10 man squad with 4 plasma and 2 full 10 man squad with 4 meltas. If you have the points, I would try to have another 10 man squad.

Im not convinced by having a third tempestor prime. Displaying two tempestors prime with the command squad (aka "suiciade squds") it seems to me like a really big investment for troops that will just last a turn. I would drop the one with the power fist, dont see any advantage of having a "combat" tempestor prime, and deploy my two tempestors with the big scions squads, I wouldnt bother too much with the command squads, to me they are just there to cover very specific needs but buffing them wont win you the game.

Overall to me your list seems really strong. Hopefully that helps.
