I believe the starting colors are Athonian Camoshade followed by Deathworld Forest but I don't know where to go from there. Any ideas?

Are you talking about what colours you need or how to make it look the way it does?

I’d say it looks like an awful lot of drybrushed layers.

As for colours, the chest piece looks like Duat Brown tinted with Arctic White and the gun, if not metallic is probably Golden Brown, if it’s metallic, Royal Gold or Auric Armour?

It’s hard to say based on the angle and picture quality, but should be enough to at least get started.

I suspect it's a white primer, Athonian camoshade over that (maybe 2 layers), a recess wash of agrax earthshade, and then the details.

Why don't you send the owner of those models a PM? You can find the blog over here: http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=52244.msg1015489#msg1015489

Also you could get a very similar end result if you found a Russian camo-green from the Cold War era, and simply used a wash or dip on it.

Russian armour colours tended to have a more mustard/drab look than the richer greens of the NATO forces. This is an example of a Russian Green spray from Battlefront Miniatures (the company behind Flames of War and Team Yankee).
