I’ve finally started painting my Overlords, and within a year of getting them too. The first unit is now about 75% done:







Right now they’re way too dark. I should probably skip the nuln oil wash but it really brings out the smallest details. I’m going to apply another layer and drybrush to the armour before edging it and applying highlights to the boots, gloves, leather and overalls. And if I can get the confidence, I’ll touch up the eyes too. That should do them.

I don't think that they're too dark.
If anything id say the dark really makes the blue pop and id lighten that up a little more before changing anything else.
They're really great.

That’s really kind of you to say, thank you.

I’m still going to apply some highlights, to avoid it looking like a single dark mass more than anything else. I’m also thinking about the ships. Green hulls is what I’m thinking. Green and grey. Perhaps. I’m not quite sure yet.
