Hello!

I am building a Tallarn+Ultramarines army and I will showcase here finished pieces.

The look and feel for the Tallarn part is desert and sand:
-it was very interesting to study some glyphs in ancient arabic to put on the tanks, I think that writing is called "cufic" and it was somehow fitting the idea of ancient sacred writings.
-the infantry have different platoons based on the colours of the far ends of the kefiah, for now I have one gold squad and one silver squad, not sure the next one.

UPDATE: the scions are inspired by Dune Fremen, they have dark armour and blu eyes due to spice melange intoxication!

UPDATE: for Ultramarines the look and feel.. well.. is just ultramarine blue! I'll sand a bit the bottom of their pants because they are on duty in a desert planet. I'd like to put in some reference to Dune, I remember Harkonnen had heavy infantry in Dune 2 which really looked like dreadnoughts..

UPDATE: some overall pictures!

Clean tank, I like it! The Tallarn models are neat, I'm a sucker for the old metal IG as well. Always wished I would have bought some Tallarn.

Do blue eyes! And you could run some Scions converted from Genestealer Cultists and beardy heads to represent Fremen in Stillsuits?

Yes, I've struggled to find lascannons infantry, I must proxy with missile launchers :/ You are very kind, especially on the infantry, those eyes are staring anywhere but on the target. But I've asked guidance on the forums here, I hope I'll fix them soon.

Aaaaand it's done!! My first dreadnought!!

I think it may at best look about like heavy infantry from Dune 2, but I couldn't make it sand color.. had to make it Macraggae Blue..

Next in line are:
- Tallarn Leman Russ 2 with tank commander
- various command figures from Ultramarines (Captain, Lieutenant, Chaplain, Standard guy)
- 15 scouts
- 2 predators (or maybe 1 predator, 1 whirwind.. not sure yet!)

Finally some pictures of the overall army, I'm still missing a bunch of stuff but it's start looking good together. I think that when more Ultramarine Blue will be there the visual impact will be way better!

Finished sponsons and writings on both tanks, ready for the final coating. Hopefully they will see the first tournament in September!

Yay thanks! I'm working on the ultramarine scouts now.. by the end of the summer I'll have an update, late September there's a tournament (2 players team, 750 each) so I'll bring some pieces to the baptism of fire.
