I know it's 8th edition now, but my friend and I play 7th still for the most part, so I had a 7th question for those of you who can answer.

Was just wondering if Terminator Champion combi weapons cost a different amount than regular Terminator combi weapons from the same unit?

What I mean is... in the codex it specifically states that "any terminator may exchange his combi bolter for a combi weapon at 5 pts each" and then a few tabs later it says "the terminator champion may use gear from the terminator weapons section of the codex" where it states that combi weapons there cost 7 pts instead of 5. So which is it for the champ?... 5 or 7?

because one way of looking at it is, since it says "any" terminator, that includes the champion as one who can exchange his combi bolter for a combi weapon. and as well by that same logic the "he may use upgrades from the terminator weapons section" is simply stating that he can 'also' upgrade to other things that the other terminators cannot... but then again, there's still the possibility that he HAS to use that 7 pt one, I guess?

Anyone know for sure? I know it's only 2 points, but believe me those 2 points make a big difference in many of my lists...

It's 7pts, the Champion is a 'Terminator Champion' not a 'Terminator'.

Almost makes me want to drop one of the 3 combi meltas in the 3 man terminator squad... except that having 3 to be a tank melting suicide squad was kind of the point in my 1500 pt army lol. sigh
