I recently got a fantasy Arachnarok sprue for free, and decided to convert it into a Tyrannofex. Looking up some other conversions using this kit, they seem to mostly involve putting a carnifex torso on the front of it. In an effort to look a little different and save some cash on a whole nother kit, I want to just flip it around and make it a big hulking fanged crab monster.

Spoiler:

Putting the gun arms and front legs on makes it a little clearer what the end goal will look like.

Spoiler:

It’s going to have more than the canon 6 legs, but I figure artillery weapon beasts can grow a few extra if they need them. I’ve got some hind legs from the tyrannofex kit coming that I’ll use for the back legs, but I’m wondering if the scything Talons on the front won’t be too small in comparison. I was planning on throwing some extra mouthparts on the front to give it that really horrible spider/crab mouth, and some additional feelers and spore chimneys on top. Anyone wanna throw out some ideas on other stuff I could do to really tyranid it up?

The scytal will definitely be too small for legs. The Tfex rear legs are very tall. Look up pictures of the tervigon for good comparisons for size. You should find plenty of the model with termagants around it for scale.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Gave him some bigger legs, and balanced the top heaviness with a big tail. Gonna fill in gaps, put chimneys on top and add a few more gribbly bits then put him down as ready to be painted.
