Dunno if this is actually the best spot for this. I am looking for someone who might be interested in building some files for 3d printing. Either in your own personal 3d printer or if you have a shapeways shop or some such. I have some ideas for bits I would love to have produced and Would really like it if I could get a hold of somebody to work with me to design the bits. Primarily I am looking to produce some tyranids bits. A couple heads. Some wings. A couple different arms. Let me know what you need and I will work with you to get it going.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Yeah yeah. I know its asking a lot. But a lot of these guys have a shop right? They help me get the bits I want and they get a new item to add to the shop that I can then pay them for. Win Win right?

What kind of parts you are looking to have made? I design 40k compatible parts, specifically for Knight Titans:

Ive seen your work. It's excellent.

I would be interested in creating some Tyranid Shrike components. A new head crest to differentiate them from warriors, Wings that more closely resembled the OOP forgeworld ones without copying them, and feet and or legs that can replace the ones the warriors come with normally (again to differentiate them more from warriors). I am hoping for more clawed then hooves like the Forge world Hive Tyrant. And the more I think about it the More interested I am in making some warrior sized wings that emulate the style of the forge world hive tyrant if possible.

Spoiler:

I am also Interested in designing some new forward walking arms for the Biovore Kit.

Spoiler:

that more closely resemble the old Biovores

Spoiler:

but updated obviously to match the newer design styles of the kits and a new head for the biovore kit because it's face fuckin ugly...

I would primarily like to start with the Shrike stuff. Since they are still great units and finding any kind of decent bits for them is nightmarish.

I have bits I can send to you if you need sizes and shapes for fitting. And can draw some mock ups of the general components I am looking for.

Ahh, unfortunately, I am not able to do organic-y shapes like Tyranids. The 3D software I use is best suited for sweeping planes, and blocky, riveted extrusions. Its great for inputting existing dimensions to create models from, when mechanical parts must fit together.

Unfortunately this is one of the issues I run into a lot, which severely limits which type of designs I can actually draw up.

My suggestion would be to search www.shapeways.com and look for Warhammer 40k and Tyranids, find someone who already has the skill set to not only 3D model organic shapes, but also knows how to design for 3D printing and reach out to them.

For example check out this guys shop: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/absorber
Looks like he already makes a range of Tyranid parts and has the skills to create for 3D printing.

Hope this helps!
