I'm needing to repaint a bunch of minis in a gold/red scheme which will start with a basecoat of Retributor Armor. Obviously, using the spray can will speak things up a bunch, but I have a few questions about it:

Am I correct in that the spray is a paint and primer, meaning that I won't have to prime it beforehand?

Should I prime white first anyways? What effect would that have?

Is there anything else I need to know before I use it besides the usual don't spray too much, watch for over spray, pay attention to the temperature and moisture, etc?

First things first, did you strip down the models you're re-painting? That is the first step, and is very necessary (unless they have been airbrushed with particularly thin coats).

Definitely going to strip them first; I'm planning on using Super Clean so the Super glue is weak enough to get the weapons/arms off as well for better coverage.

From my experience with the Retributor Armor spray, It works just fine without using another primer coat prior to laying it down.

However, With that said, personally i like to lay down a black primer coat first, then hit it with the gold. For my tastes, I find it produces a better result, then if i was to simply go straight with the gold. Im not sure what result you would get over a white primer, But my assumption would be a brighter coat

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

It worked fine for me directly onto the models.

About the only issue was that I had coverage issues in some 'hidden' areas that I just touched up with a brush. They won't see wear, so I'm not worried about flaking.
