So - ive been working on a converted chinork on and off for 6 months, because I like the idea of a flying transport to accompany my warcoptas & deliver my flashgitz.
I found some good donor parts in my kids toybox (im going to hell!) as I dont particularly like the forgeworld model, but do enjoy converting.

So - the idea is an ork mek saw some storm ravens & developed an orky version.
I started with the donor helicopter & grafted on two turbines, added the pilot up top so the body can hold the payload of flashgitz to be dropped somewhere appropriate.
(The Mek is aboard, manning one of the guns).

Here's the result in black undercoat (im pleased with it - feels a little avatar-like, which wasn't a conscious decision)

My original idea was to add the original rotor to one turbine & make a second (they won't look the same, but that's part of the charm).
However, I'm now pondering 3 options.
1) Make a second rotor and add as originally planned
2) Keep the rotor, but add back to the middle.
3) dont bother with rotors - the turbines are fine as they are

Would be really interested in your opinions (Here's a few pics to assist):

Thanks in advance.

Double rotors, all the way! Looks great, keeps the Chinork vibe with a new twist.
Plus, looks shockingly close to an upsized version of the OG metal Deffkopta.

Thanks - I do think the rotors would work best - just looking for an excuse not to make a second & magnetise I guess!!!

Here’s a pic in the light:

Looks great! Love the twin rotor look and how you've personalised the base model.

Better than my deff kopta + storm speeder(? the scout land speeder) + plasticard attempt! Though that's not particularly tall order

I really love this! It fits right in with your other deff koptas much better than the Forgeworld models would in my opinion.
