I have a ton of minis that I need to paint. I don't have an airbrush and don't really have a good spot for one in my house (no ventilation and the only good spot in the garage is taken up by boxes of family photos, and no really good place to move them ). There is standing room in the garage, so spray paints are my way to go for quick and easy basecoats. I've been looking at using GW spray paints for this task.

However, I have noticed (as has almost everyone else who has tried them) that the colors come out a little lighter than the colors out of the pots of the same name. This makes correcting mistakes difficult. What suggestions do you guys have for getting around this issue (beyond "just be perfect"?). I've thought about mixing colors to get as close as possible to the same lighter shade of color or shading the color a little bit with a thin wash; would either of these work or be easy to do?

A wash or glaze over the top after fixing with the slightly mismatched colours will blend both back together and make it much less noticeable (if at all).

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.
