I'm reading through the Ad Mech Codex, and Cawl's Master of Machines ability lets him heal ANY Imperium model. Including, say, Ogryns. This seems... Odd, to say the least, so was it ever FAQed or anything? Or can Cawl's Mastery of Machines go so far as to heal biological beings?

Cawl can indeed fix up Ogryns, Primarchs or anything else, because they did not restrict it to VEHICLES. To say otherwise is not following the rules. There have been multiple rounds of AdMech FAQs since release with no changes.

I believe in the Index he was slightly more restricted and someone realized it would make sense if he could heal the Primarch that he helped bring back to life so they just let him heal anything.

I think the intent was more along the lines of being able to fix Servitors, which aren't vehicles, or even Sicarians. But again I don't think that when they write they step back and say "hmm what happens if I ally him in with other factions?"

What’s a little on-the-fly cybernetic upgrade between friends?

Blessed is the Guardsman who believes that Cawl "heals" the Ogryns rather than sticking their carcass onto a similarly sized cybernetic construct.

His fluff does say "During that span of ages the Tech-Priest has served as a Forge Lord, a Lexico Arcanus and a renowned Magos Biologis." [Emphasis added.] Good enough for me.

Getting a bit touchy there mate, all this encouraging RAI by GW got you in a tizz! I don’t know how I feel about this one. It isn’t fluff wise crazy to heal anything, so why not. But if my opponent disagreed I wouldn’t argue and play it like everyone else’s master of machines.

This is a good point. What's to say he doesn't have a stim-injector or synth-flesh projector on his person?

They/them

Yeah, we are talking about the guy who was able to tweak the Emperor's gene-seed design to come up with Primaris marines, after all. Plus, if it bothers someone that an ability with the name Master of Machines is able to heal organics, they should consider the fact that to someone like Cawl, organics are really just a form of biological machine.

Just seemed odd to me, and was wondering if I missed an FAQ.

But yeah, good points, all.
