So I was looking at the Khorne Lord of Skulls which has 8 T and 28 W for 365 points (Although with weapons this goes to about 450), and I have no idea how to stop it or equivalents, Forgefiends and Maulerfiends only get about 1 hit on it on average which will only do 3 damage, I can't send in Raptor squads because they are squishy and sie easily, I can't focus all my firepower on it because a lot of my firepower won't do anything to a Knight and other enemy models, and the model only costs 450 points! Am I missing something here?

Lord of Skulls is actually on the weaker end.

Demon princes/abbadon/lazcannon havocs/smite work wonders on those big guys.

Wow, if you have problems with a lord of skulls, you are gonna auto concede to an imperial knight army...

Shoot them to death. If a lot of your fire power don't do anything to a knight or similar, then you may want to adjust your heavy support shooting so that it can handle high toughness, multi wounds units like imperial knights or lord of skulls.

Looks at high strength weapons like lascannons, missile launchers, and such. Anything Strength 8 or higher.

Alternatively, hope to throw enough sacrificial units to tie them up while you kill the rest of his army and go for objectives.

Lords of Skulls look good, and are intimidating on the field, but pretty expensive for what they do.

Massed firepower works. Don’t close in CC with it if you want to live, especially when it has taken some damage. Lascannons will burn through its wounds fast.

Or just avoid it. It’s slow, especially when dinged up, and a HUGE points sink. Just kill the rest of his army and or play to the mission.

Mine rarely lives a single round, and paying a couple hundred plus points for its weapons, which are definitely not worth that in points, means I only field it in casual games when I don’t really care if I win. If I’m playing seriously I’ll be running three Plagueburst crawlers for less points, more firepower and vastly higher survivability.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

this. Titanic units can usually kill only one unit each turn. Take it and keep scoring points.

I definitely recommend a Thousand Sons detachment. Daemon Princes, Ahriman, S16 Magnus, it's all pretty good and if those Knights are Questor Imperialis they'll have almost no defense against mortal wound spam.

Havocs or Obliterators with Mark of Slaanesh double shooting (Endless Cacophany) with +1 to wound (Veterans of the Long War) is also pretty devastating.

A castellan can definitely kill more than one unit a turn. I played one a few nights ago and it was brutal. We went with ignore and play objectives, as we were unfortunately very infantry heavy. Turn 4 there was just my partner's Gulliman left, cowering behind a building on an objective. Cawls Wrath tips it over into plain murder.
