Page 106 – Knight Lances ability
Change the last sentence to read:
‘The Command Benefit of each Imperial Knights Superheavy
Detachment is changed to ‘None’ if it does not
contain at least one Imperial Knights Titanic unit,
and is changed to ‘+6 Command Points’ if it contains at
least three Imperial Knights Titanic units.’
Armigers fixed. Now I can run 2 detachments easy. Or even a single detachment with my 3 knights and a couple Armigers and still be at 9 CP. 9 CP with the way I want to abuse the the Sally Forth rule. You know the one that lets you basically Deep Strike a Knight turn 1. I'm kind of shocked more people aren't freaking out over that one.
Well it comes on your dz on turn 1 so not that big deal for 3cp. If dominus could use would be way to hide castellan from shadowsword but now i rather shoot t1
Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

One thing they could have done that would have been REALLY awesome would be to give Renegade Knights the same Qualities and Burdens tables that Freeblades have or even a brand new set of them. Still, I am very happy with everything they put out today. Definitely reevaluating my Knight army as to whether or not I will run any allies with it.
I believe it is feasible to have a full knight army with 12 CP if you have a super heavy detachment of 3 normal knights and other one with 1 gallant +2 armigers.

It really depends on how nuts you go with Carapace weapons, but yes. It is absolutely feasible now. Yes, you might get called THAT GUY, but it might be worth it.
There are definitely a lot of interesting things you can do now. Even 2 super heavies with 2 titans and 4 armigers has some interesting potential, though the Rule of 3 stings there a bit.
Dominus, Crusader, Paladin, 2 Armigers for 2K points giving you 9 CP, (3 for battleforge, 6 for a super heavy detachment with 3 Titan class)
Or you could run one detachment of a Crusader with 3 Helverins, and a Paladin with 3 armigers, and still be at 9 CP.
They did a good job with this rule.

How bit of deal is it? You can run 9 of either type before you run into the Rule of 3.

He could not run 2 det and 4 same armiger while getting 3cp from both

Awww ye, no need for the peasants, all Knights baby!
9-12 Command points is more than enough, provided you don't go overboard on relics and warlord traits!

Now this makes collecting Renegade Knights all the more tempting.
The freedom of weapon configuration on the Knight model is wonderful! The ability to run with 2 Thermal Cannons is very tempting, it may be mathematically improbable, but that has a potential damage out put of 72 wounds. It will no doubt never happen, as it would mean rolling 14 6s. Still, that configuration is sure to be able to deal with tough vehicles and monstrous creatures without breaking a sweat.
I can see why they didn't give the same freedom options to the new Knight models, 2 Conflagration Cannons anyone?
Still can't get over how good the Armiger Autocannon is, heavy 2D3, strength 7, AP -1, Damage 3 with no penalties for moving and shooting. They also come in pairs, brutal.
The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

One thing that is kind of sad is Renegade Armigers not getting to mix and match the way their big brothers can. Sadly, WYSIWYG rule syndrome strikes again...

Because you already can do that with pay-to-win FW big dreads in SM, CSM, and AC armies for less points, so it's not like this is gamechanger or anything. Just slight scale creep.

Someone has an unrealistic view of FW. A leviathan is more broke then a Stormraven was? It’s not even as points efficient as an Assback is now!

Well. It’s all markedly better than a kick up the backside!
Very interested to see what peeps do to make Renegade Knights stand out
Also, kind of relieved that Dominus class chassis can’t mix and match their weapons. Standard load out for either. Would’ve been cool to see double Conflagration Cannon though.
Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?
Also the Engine of destruction rule is rather good, especially as that extra attack will more then likely end up going to the Titanic feet, to result in 15 attacks with +1 to hit at strength 8, AP -2, damage D3. Enough to put a dent in most things.
Add in the Trail of Destruction stratagem, and that thing can kick a titan to death.

Asked for GSC knight house, was responded to that it was a popular request. Claws crossed, I'd buy a knight army for that reason.

I mean, fifty bucks is on the line.
There's no rule that says I can't.

Engine of Destruction just gives the Renegade Gallant Knight the same bonuses the Loyalist Knight has.
Good news: Chaos gets some updated Renegade Knight stuff, including the two new knights. Bad news: No chapter tactics, and the only warlord trait and relic options are terrible.

Unlike Imperial Knights, Renegade Knights can use the BRB Warlord Traits. That means you can have a Renegade Knight that is more resilient than a Taranis Knight.
